CHORUS
One love, one love, one love, one love.
There was a time in the history of man
When he commanded the creation
And he and his Maker had one love;
And then one day the deceiver came,
And man lost the power of the Name,
For he had broken the bond of one love;
It then took the blood of a spotless lamb
To be an atonement for fallen man
It was God’s substitute for his sin and shame;
It was a part of God’s great mystery
To redeem you and me again,
Back to …
Then one day the real Lamb came,
He came in the Father’s Name
To be a ransom for one love.
When on the cross my Saviour died,
The power of death He had defied,
To give us the token of one love.
He then changed our destiny,
He could now come and live in you and me,
Making us creatures now bound for eternity;
Brothers and sisters can’t you see,
He died to set you and I free again!
Back to …
The Holy Ghost the Lord did send,
He fell upon some redeemed men,
They had the token and one love.
They baptized in Jesus Name;
And of His doctrine they weren’t ashamed,
For they were believers in one love.
But then as the ages rolled away
From this doctrine evil men did stray;
And the serpent began to ride this trail again.
Beware of the creeds of wicked men,
Designed to bring us back to bondage again;
But we want …
In the end time the Son of man came,
He came in His Father’s Name
To give us the token of one love.
Seven Thunders sounded in our souls,
Our Lord had gathered us from this wicked world
To be united in one love;
Then we will speak and command creation again,
Sons and daughters in the Father’s Name,
Having power and wrapped up in His love;
The trumpet shall sound
And we’ll take our flight to the skies
To be in glory where we’ll be with our Father again,
Back to …
